Ten on Ten :: September 2015

10 pictures on the 10th day of the month!
Document a snapshot of your life & find beauty among the ordinary things in your day!

Arm wrestling before breakfast burritos. Isn't that what you always do? I'm babysitting this week, so I had some breakfast company.

I usually listen to Mike & Mike in the morning and since today is the first day of the NFL season, it is no exception.

Used my third class at BOCO Fit this morning. I forgot that it was my final time on this cycle of ClassPass, so now I don't get to go again until the 28th.

Collapsed on my bed to respond to some emails for a minute and Hurley immediately cuddled up next to me. Who is this guy?!

This is what happens when you have two incorrect orders, four hungry people, and one birthday girl. You only remember to take a photo after you've feasted on Chick-Fil-A.

To be honest, I'm surprised I'm still going strong on my Five Year Journal. This wasn't my favorite day though.

I got my Essential Rewards order from Young Living in the mail and I can't wait to use this one! I want to slowly get the INFUSED 7 kit of Faith, Fitness, Finance, Friends, Family, Field, and Fun, so I'm starting with this one. This one is much-needed because as I've gotten busier with my new job and new responsibilities over the last 2 months, I've unfortunately let my active faith fall down on the priorities list.

It doesn't look (or feel) like September 10th outside. I walked through the park to go pick up the kiddo from school. Somehow he has now convinced me to carry his backpack home two days in a row.

Entertaining little sister (and myself) on the swings while big brother is at soccer practice.

After story time, I get to kick back and watch (fantasy) football. I'm in three leagues this year and have players playing on two of my teams. On one, I have Julian Edleman and Antonio Brown. On the most important one, I have Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edleman.

September 2015 Goals

Let's see how I did in August:

{Spiritual} Get back into the #Bible365 reading plan. Well, now I'm almost 3 months behind schedule.

{Financial} Reevaluate my finances and my financial goals. I did. And it'll help me not feel like I'm failing every single month with where I should be in paying off my debt, but it sucks that I had to give myself so much leeway since I did so terribly at that the first half of the year. I really just need to stop using my credit card altogether.

{Social} Actually enjoy my birthday this year. Yes! It wasn't exactly how I pictured it would be, but I got to spend my birthday in Grand Lake, my favorite place in Colorado!

{Mental} Set aside a half hour of quite time every day. This was an absolute fail and probably the goal I'm most upset about. I really do need to turn everything off and just be alone for 30 minutes a day. It's not that hard, yet I can't do it for some reason.

{Physical} Use ClassPass at least 10 times this cycle. Unfortunately, I didn't succeed at this either. Since I late cancelled one class (big mistake!), I only went six times during the first cycle. Even if we pretend that three of the Pure Barre classes I took were on ClassPass, it's still only 9 times. However, I did sign up for a full 12 months of ClassPass at a discounted rate. We'll see how it goes!

{Personal} Cut back on eating out. I did spend less than I did in July, but I still need to cut WAY back.

{Professional} Find a rhythm and routine at my new job. This last week has been a little crazy, but other than that, I think I'm getting the hang of it!

Moving on to September:

{Spiritual} Get back into a routine at church. This summer kind of got away from me. Starting in July, I felt like I was busy most Saturday nights and when Merge took a break, I really fell out of my routine at church. Now that Merge is back into the swing of things, I need to start making church a priority each week.

{Financial} Be honest with myself about my spending habits. I write down "everything" I spend money on, but a lot of time, I'll skip things, big or small. For example, if I spend a huge chunk of change shopping online, I'll leave it out when I go to write down where all my money went that month. I need to write down E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. so I can really see where all my money is going and hopefully be smarter about each penny.

{Social} Win at least one of my first three fantasy football games. Yeah, maybe this is a stretch for a social goal, but I play against other people (some of whom I know), so that makes it social!

{Mental} Set aside a half hour of quite time every day. I'm serious about it this month. I just need to set a schedule with myself and stick to it.

{Physical} Try at least three new work outs. In my first month of ClassPass, I really stuck to three different work outs: spinning, megaformer, and paddleboard yoga. I'm already signed up for Orange Theory next week (even though they're not on ClassPass), and I need to try out at least two more things to get more variety. That's why I wanted ClassPass to begin with!

{Personal} Stop cussing as much. I just find myself cussing way too much, and in situations were it's particularly not appropriate. I really need to be more aware of what I'm saying and who I'm saying things too. I hate that I cuss as much as I do now.

{Professional} Get at least 18 squares on my Bingo board. In September, we play Pure Barre Bingo at the studio and all of the staff members participate. Since I'm at the studio 5 days a week, my goal is to finish at least 75% of my board.
