Potluck Rehearsal

Rachel and Travis had their rehearsal dinner on Memorial Day with a potluck.  That morning, a number of the bridemaids (I'm pretty sure the groom and the groomsmen all chickened out), the bride, and some of the guests ran the Bolder Boulder and definitely kicked some butt.  While they were running, I was in the kitchen once again making one of the most complicated cakes I've ever made, but it was so worth it.  I got the recipe from Rachel's Pinterest and posted it here.

We went down to the ceremony site to go through the whole thing a few times.  Thank goodness for rehearsals because I would have never known what to do!  Rachel looked so beautiful in a white eyelet dress and cowboy boots, but it was nothing compared to the following day.  We were all so impressed at how the junior groomsman and bridesmaid did.  Riley, our cousin, had just turned six and totally rocked it.  He could definitely hang with us too.  What a fun guy!  McKenzie, our second cousin, is just two, but she did so well!  She walked down the aisle and stood up there with us each time.  Plus, she was totally smitten with Riley.  So adorable!

The whole group went back to the park we reserved for the dinner to have some delicious food.  Seriously, these people can cook!

After dinner, the wedding party and some of their friends played some pretty intense kickball.  There was Team Bride and Team Groom.  We lost track of the runs after a while, but we had so much fun.  Riley and one of the groomsman's son played with us and dominated!  It was a blast.

The girls decided to go to a local pub for a drink before heading back home.  It was fun, but I was starting to stress about my toast, so I left early to type it up and make some last minute tweaks.  Of course they took the picture after I left, but seriously, check out how gorgeous Rachel's friends are!

Ten on Ten :: June 2012

Ten on Ten: Take a photo every hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month. Document a day of your life and find beauty among the ordinary moments. Then share your beauty with us!

11:00 - My bed is your bed

12:00 - Sidewalk art

1:00 - Say cheese

2:00 - A puzzling nap time

3:00 - Under the sea

4:00 - So hungry

5:00 - Pretty corny

6:00 - Easy as A, B, C

7:00 - Story time

8:00 - Tonight, walking shoes

I really cannot handle Ten on Ten without Picnik.  It's so much more boring, but I feel like I never really take fantastic pictures anyway.

I spent the whole day--well, 12:00 to 8:00--babysitting, hence all of the children-related activities and meals.  It was a long day, but it was fun.
